We're very excited for the start of the 7th bi-annual Charleston to Bermuda Race. The
Celebration of Sail sendoff will be a festive event honoring the deep cultural and historic
ties between Charleston and Bermuda, with both Mayor Joeseph P. Riley Jr., of Charleston,
and the Deputy Director of Bermuda attending. Racers from the Portimao Global Ocean
Race are also excited to attend. The Acting Premier of Bermuda, Dr. The Honorable Elvin
James, JP, MP, has requested the pleasure of the company of the racers at the awards
ceremony at the Roayl Bermuda Yacht Club as well. With two additional affairs scheduled on
the island, everyone attending the race is sure to have an excellent experience. To add to
the occaision, beautiful Bermuda has been celebrating its 400th anniversay all througout
the year.

The C2B Race has been developed to give every sailing enthusiast, from the diehard
racer to the family crewed adventurers, a chance to participate in a 777 nautical mile
challenge of navigational skill and true bluewater sailing.
The Charleston to Bermuda Race staff strives to ensure that everyone have a wonderful
experience prior to, during, and after the race. With a number of events scheduled prior
to the start as well as in Bermuda, race participants, family, and friends are sure to have
a great time while meeting other sailing enthusiasts during one of the Southeast's most
exciting events.
